Psychotherapy
Are you dealing with a specific issue, or feeling an ongoing sense of discomfort that just won’t fade? Maybe your usual distractions aren’t helping anymore, and you find it hard to open up to people around you.
Therapy can offer a safe, supportive space to explore whatever feels difficult or painful, whether it’s from the past or present. Even if you’re not facing immediate emotional struggles, therapy can be a valuable tool to help you live a more fulfilling life and make choices that better reflect your authentic self.

My role is to listen deeply, providing empathic, respectful, and non-judgmental support as you explore and come to understand yourself more fully.

The idea of seeing a therapist may seem daunting, but hopefully this site will give you some sense of me as a person, my approach and help you decide how to take things forward. If you'd like know more please feel free to contact me, but whatever your decision I wish you well.

About me
Before becoming a therapist I spent my career working in large corporate institutions, so I understand the pressures that come with balancing business and personal life. I later retrained as an executive and mindfulness coach, running MBSR stress reduction programs for both corporate clients and private individuals. I’ve volunteered at a Mind Crisis House and facilitated Men’s Groups and Climate Cafés to support the varying needs of different communities.

My counselling training was at Psychosynthesis Trust, who's approach sees the whole of the person - past, present and potential for the future - and brings in breathing, mindfulness and a range of creative therapeutic approaches, alongside talking therapy. I subsequently trained in psychotherapy at Re-Vision, which integrates trauma-informed practices with a soulful perspective, drawing on Jungian, Gestalt and psychodynamic methods to provide a deeper perspective to therapy.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling n Advanced Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy from Re-Vision, and I’m a registered member of both BACP and UKCP, adhering to the ethical codes of both organizations. I also engage in regular professional supervision to continue developing as a therapist.
Currently, I’m furthering my expertise through a certification with the Institute of Embodied Psychotherapy.

Approach
I offer a strong, safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space that will enable you gain deeper understanding of yourself and your relational dynamics. In our work together we’ll explore the experiences that have shaped you and their impact, holding dual awareness on the difficulties that have bought you to therapy and your early childhood and family dynamics.
I will listen deeply to what you share. At times this material is likely to be troublesome and so we'll search with curiosity and care. Rather than focusing on what's wrong with you, we’ll explore what happened to you, offering a more soulful, less compassionate perspective on your experiences.

My approach integrates transpersonal psychology, which explores the potential for growth beyond ordinary personhood, with Jungian depth psychology and contemporary neurodevelopmental psychology. Together we'll use soulful methods such as storytelling, imagery, archetypes and dreams, alongside a focus on body awareness and emotional states. In doing so the therapeutic relationship provides a creative space where your imagination can help connect and express hidden thoughts and feelings.

In this way we can uncover what’s emerging within you, reconnecting you with your inner wisdom and helping you foster meaningful change.

Practicalities
Working together

I offer in-person sessions in Shenfield, Essex, as well as online options via zoom for those who prefer them or live elsewhere.

It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist, as the quality of the therapeutic relationship is key to successful work. Clients might meet with several therapists before choosing someone who feels the right fit.

I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation if you'd like to meet initially to discuss working together, and if you feel that we’re a good match we’ll arrange a first session at a time that works for you.
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week. I work with clients on both a short-term (6-12 sessions) and long-term basis, depending on what’s needed. Sessions cost £60, with some flexibility for a reduced rate in certain cases.

I welcome and embrace diversity in all its forms, including cultural diversity, gender and sexual diversity (GRSD and LGBTQIA+), and neurodiversity.
